The Soul King Is Back On The Road

With a voice that channels his predecessors Bill Withers and Ray Charles, Anthony Hamilton is the modern day king of soulful balladry, possessing just a big enough hint of grittiness to really strike his love songs home. The Grammy-winning singer songwriter burst onto the scene in the early 2000's, after cutting his teeth as a backing singer for the likes of D'Angelo and 2Pac. Since then he's really spread his solo wings, scoring big hits with 'Coming From Where I'm From' and 'Freedom', from the Django Unchained soundtrack. His latest record was this year's What I'm Feelin'.
