Your upcoming shows for the 2024/2025 season have been announced!
Broadway in Greensboro adds some extra sparkle to the start of the year and announces the shows that will be taking over the stage of the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts in 2024 and 2025. Read below for a rundown of what's on offer!
MAMMA MIA!:
Sept. 17-22, 2024
One of the most successful musicals of all time, Mamma Mia was also adapted into a movie in 2008, (and received its prequel/sequel in 2018) which (despite Pierce Brosnan's singing) became a huge hit worldwide and was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. It's a guaranteed crowdpleaser, and have even the staunchest Abba critic singing in the aisles!

If you've been waiting for a musical that features the hits of Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys and The Weeknd, then your day is finally here! Following its rapturous run on Broadway, & Juliet features music by songwriter extraordinaire Max Martin and now is heading out on tour! This new brand-new tuner is bound to be a season highlight and an unforgettable night out!

Hamilton made its New York debut Off-Broadway at the Public Theater in 2015, where it was met with universal acclaim and was extended three times due to public demand. It lost none of its potency in the subsequent Broadway transfer, with Ben Brantley of the New York Times writing it was "changing the language of musicals". President Obama himself deemed it good enough for not one but two visits! In 2016, it won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and scooped 11 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and many more! In 2018, it swept up the Olivier Awards bagging seven of their recording breaking 11 nominations, including Best New Musical.
MJ: The Musical

The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage have partnered on the project, with two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Sweat, Ruined) set to pen the book. Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon (An American In Paris) has been tapped to Choreograph/Direct the musical. With both Nottage and Wheeldon on the scene, admirers of the late artist can rest assured that Michael's incredible story is in safe hands.
A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL

A Beautiful Noise is a brand new production about the Grammy Award-winning legend Neil Diamond's life. Tony Award-winning 'Once on This Island' producer Kev Davenport will join forces with Four Season's Bob Gaudio in producing this musical. You'll experience the journey through Diamond's life with some of his memorable hits including 'Love on the Rocks', 'Songs Sung Blue' and of course 'Sweet Caroline' to keep your feet tapping along the way. It'll be an experience like no other!
BACK TO THE FUTURE: THE MUSICAL

Conceived by the film's original creators (Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale), this brand-new musical adaptation is directed by John Rando with a book by Bob Gale and original music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard. ELF THE MUSICAL

Based on the beloved movie, this show first premiered on Broadway in 2010, and has since been inducted into the canon of classic Christmas shows. Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin provided the bouncy score, while the book came courtesy of Broadway vet Thomas Meehan (Annie) and comedian Bob Martin. This critically acclaimed musical is a joyful addition to holiday theatre, with enough songs to keep the kids engrossed, as well as plenty of jokes for the adults.
